September 2009/2010

On arrival, we walked into a spotlessly clean studio.  The fully equipped kitchen and barbecue allowed us to prepare an extensive selection of locally bought food and produce.

Great location, near the beaches and everything dreamy La Jolla has to offer. And, being close to the highway, we have found that this is a very convenient base to explore San Diego and all of Southern California.

We liked the quietness of the complex, and the pool offered us a chance to relax after a long day’s exploring and on those days when we were in no hurry to do anything.  The friendly locals were an added bonus.

Although we travel extensively, this is the one place we always like to come back to.  The local attractions are endless, and the coastline offers the opportunity for excellent snorkeling and surfing.  Highly recommended.

Amazing experience

pinklight86 San Fernando Valley, CA

Date of Stay: September 2010

Our stay in the 1bedroom suite was incredible. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the tennis courts which we played in every morning of our 4 night stay. We also took advantage of the gym and amazing pool. Not only was this less expensive than the neighboring hotels, it had everything and more that we were looking for. The best part was their full kitchen we prepared many of our meals in. Also it was walking distance from restaurants and bars we enjoy. We highly recommend this property!

December 2010

My wife and I travelled to California in December last year (2010). It was our first visit to the United States. We were visiting our son who had been studying for a year at UCSD.  Some friends who had recently visited the United States told us about vacation rentals. They had stayed in hotels and apartments and suggested that if we were staying longer than a few days in any place we should seriously consider a vacation rental apartment – for cost savings and for convenience. We had emailed a number of places on the VRBO website but most were taken – there was one exception and we took that. However the agent was slow in getting back to us to clarify details and the deposit form that had been promised never arrived. A week or so before we were due to go, Jess from San Diego Vacation Rentals emailed us to tell us that an apartment near the university had become available. Jess was very helpful in answering our questions and amazingly efficient in sorting out the paperwork. I wrote to the first agent to cancel our booking and heard nothing back.

We departed Australia confident that Jess had organized everything and confident that we were negotiating with someone who was interested, efficient, responsive and responsible.

When we arrived it was night. The directions we had received to locate the apartment and park our rented car were clear and accurate. As we walked up to the apartment we could see the friendly glow of lights through the windows. We opened the door and found to our delight that the apartment was ready to receive us – not only were the lights on but there was soft music playing and everything was neat and inviting. Jess had left clear written instructions on the kitchen bench. Everything was clean and comfortable. The apartment was set well off the road and was very quiet - just as Jess had said it would be.

The location of the apartment was excellent for our needs. It was within a few minutes drive of the university. One evening our son rode over on his bicycle to have dinner with us.  It was also within walking distance of an excellent shopping centre that had everything we needed including an absolutely amazing Whole Foods supermarket with food that was so fresh and so tasty that we found it difficult not to go there every day. The location was also very handy to the La Jolla Playhouse where we saw a brilliantly performed Pulitzer Prize winning play. It was also a very easy and quick car trip downtown to the city centre and we had no difficulty in attending other cultural highlights such as the San Diego symphony orchestra and other attractions such as the San Diego zoo and Sea World.

Any time there was something we needed to know I would contact Jess by email and she would quickly respond with helpful advice. She was very practical. For example I asked if something could be done about the outside porch light that was on at night and which could be seen from the bedroom. Jess offered to remove the light globe. Once she mentioned this I realized I could do it myself and save her the trouble. Of course I replaced it when we left! It made us feel very secure knowing that Jess was around.

The location was also a short car ride from pretty La Jolla Cove (where we received a parking fine for not “crimping” our wheels – something we were unfamiliar with coming from a flat city! But we were pleased to know that we were making a small contribution to the solvency of San Diego County!) We were also a short car trip from Torrey Pines reserve – a scenic and very interesting nature reserve; an even shorter trip from Black’s Beach – arguably the best surfing beach on the west coast of California; and also very close to the Salk institute where we attended a fascinating and stimulating public seminar.

I can’t speak highly enough of the service that Jess provided. She was a model of efficiency and helpfulness. We were very impressed with our first experience of vacation rentals and we are very appreciative of the effort that Jess put in to making our stay so comfortable.

Thank you Jess.

Best wishes,

Jack and Marie Kirszenblat

2010/2011

The La Jolla/San Diego vacation rental place is the best place to stay for vacation in San Diego.  We usually booked to stay in a hotel when we visited San Diego.  When my daughter has decided to attend UCSD, we were looking for a hotel or condo near the University. We were glad we found online the San Diego vacation rental studios.  Jessica was very friendly and guided me through the rental process for a few nights stay in La Jolla, San Diego.  We totally love this rental suite which has 1 bedroom (accommodate up to 4to 5 people) or 2 bedrooms (accommodate up to 6 or 7 people), equipped with a full kitchen, free fast internet access, gym, pool, hot tub, tennis court and free gated parking.  The cost of the rental is reasonable compared to other hotels in La Jolla.   The best thing I like about this place is it has a full kitchen and has washer and dryer in the suite or facility.  This is so convenient for us as we do not have to pack many clothes and able to have clean clothes to wear everyday during our stay there.  It is also conveniently located near shopping malls, restaurants, beaches, San Diego Zoo and Sea World.  The service was excellent and it was very impressive to walk into the suite and welcome with soothing music.  This was the third time that we rented in the same complex and Jessica was nice to have let us checked in early after a long 8 hours drive from San Jose.  Their excellent service has prompted us to rent with them again instead of a hotel because we really feel very comfortable and safe while staying there.  I will definitely recommend to anyone who is planning to visit La Jolla, San Diego for a clean and relaxing stay.

Fantastic Vacation Spot!, November 22, 2010

By Mike Schmidt (Chicago, IL)

We came back to The Venetian again this year, and had just as great an experience as last year. The condo is very accommodating, the pool is perfect for laying out and relaxing, and the off-street parking is a major bonus. The cleanliness and presentation of the condo upon entering is top-notch, and really sets the mood for a wonderful time. Can't wait for next year! Thanks!

Thanks Jessica, July 16, 2008

By Oliver Nube (Tempe, Arizona)

My daughters and I enjoyed our stay at the Venetian. Our condo/apartment was ideal for our needs. The amenities are great - pool, spa, grounds, parking, security and the neighborhood. Shopping was easy - Ralphs, Trader Joes, Starbucks, Whole Foods. We were in very close proximity of everything we wanted to do - beaches - La Jolla, Del Mar, Solana Beach, Sea World, Downtown San Diego.

January 2011

We knew we wanted to escape the harsh Cleveland, Ohio winter and San Diego was our destination of choice.  The issue was, where do you stay when you have four little kids.  We found the answer doing a web search - San Diego Vacation Rental Studios (SDVRS).  Of course, as informative as the website was and as responsive as  Jessica at SDVRS was, we knew we were taking a chance.  We've had vacation experiences before where there was disconnect between web photos and reality, and the ensuing surprises were not of the pleasant sort.

Most fortunately, SDVRS lived up to our expectations.  The two-bedroom studio where we stayed was very nice.  In fact, one of the first things our four year old son said when he saw our new "home" was, "does this mean we're rich?"  The apartment was tastefully decorated.  The bathrooms were very nice, which is of course, very important.  The beds were comfortable, as was the other furniture. There was an ample supply of towels and linens, and a washer/dryer for laundry.  The kitchen was smallish but ideal for our needs.  We planned on eating our breakfasts and dinners at "home," and the kitchen and dining area were ideal for this.  On Day 1, we had a few questions and there was a issue with the internet service, and Jessica came over and helped us with our questions, and resolved the internet issue.  She had also left us a Pack'N Play per our request.

The general environs were nice.  The unit where we stayed was part of a nice complex, which was in keeping with the general atmosphere of surrounding La Jolla.  Parking was close to the unit.  We did have to drag our suitcases a bit, and carry them up the stairs leading to the studio, but that's the way all the units were.  It was too cold to use the pool (we had been forewarned that this would be the case), but we did enjoy the Jacuzzi.  The other residents in the surrounding units were pleasant and respectful.

An added benefit for us: We are observant Jews and we keep Kosher.  Perhaps a two minute drive from the apartment was a great grocery store called Ralph's that had the most amazing Kosher section.  It was ideal.

From a financial standpoint, I know we saved money.  The cost of a hotel would have far exceeded what we paid, and we wouldn't have had half the space that we had.  As for location, it was perfect.  We went to the San Diego Zoo, Sea World and Lego Land and didn't spend a whole lot of time driving.

We would definitely recommend SDVRS to our friends.  It felt like the perfect combination of being on vacation, all the while having the comforts of home.

February 2011

My husband and I enjoyed our first ever stay in San Diego and found the location convenient to everything.  We especially enjoyed the hot tub and the ability to cook our own meals.  The bed was very comfortable and the wireless internet a bonus.  The cost was very reasonable making this condo a great alternative to a hotel.

Best Regards,

Gloria Noren

December 2010

Hello from Regensburg,

This was my first time vacation experience at Jessica’s property.  I am a seasoned vacation renter.  When it’s getting cold in Germany I´ll be back in California.  Normally I stay in hotels but if it will be a longer stay I prefer an apartment to rent.  I saved much money, and I liked best the quality of the rental bed, parking space and the modern style of the apartment.  I can say the best of the service about Jessica.  She does everything to make my stay comfortable.  I can really recommend you to all of my friends who are travelling

I have made a colorful story on my face book-webpage

2 bedroom condo lajolla, April 4, 2010

By naomi Hanes (Batesville AR)

The condo was great it was all clean and homey when we got there. The complex was very dog friendly, with large grassy areas. The area we were in was so quiet and the parking was right at the entrance to it. Loved the secure parking and able to walk to shops and restaurants. The space was more than adequate and would definitely stay again. The rental agent was so helpful and nice to us, great unit what a bargain for the money.

Amazing, March 27, 2009

By Michelle (Sacramento, CA USA)

I decided to reserve a room in March because my boyfriend was coming back from Iraq. We had an amazing time. The Suite was amazing, it was right next to stores and the Mall. It was very convenient. If I were to go back down there again for a stay I would definitely make sure to get a Suite through La Jolla Luxury Vacation and Corporate Suites.

La Jolla Apartment, September 22, 2010

By Christine Morgan (San Antonio, TX)

Very comfortable and affordable. Plenty of room for 4. Could have easily slept a few more on couches. Convenient location, with grocery stores/shopping nearby. We were only there for a long weekend but found time to relax by the pool when we weren't out by the ocean. Would definitely consider again!

La Jolla rental, May 26, 2010

By Randi (Weston, West Virginia)

This place was everything it claimed to be. Clean, comfortable (except they need a new sleeper sofa) and the facilities were great. The pool and hot tub and barbecue area was really nice, we had a lovely day there and a great barbecue and the exercise room was good too. I would definitely stay there again. It was the perfect location for me as my son lives by UCSD graduate housing.

Comfy La Jolla Stay, August 31, 2010

By Laura (Missoula, MT)

My husband and I really enjoyed the studio condo. Greeted by a lovely flower arrangement on the counter and soft music, a vacation mood was set. Perfect for two people. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is there was no reading light available in the bedroom area. We would certainly return again.

Apartment rental, February 15, 2010

Apartment was fine, clean and very well located. My only objection was the size of the parking spaces, very small. We had a great visit, and the price was a good value.

One of our best accommodations ever, June 25, 2008

By Errol (Toronto, Canada)

Our stay at La Jolla Cove was extremely wonderful. The condo unit had all the amenities for my family of four. The condo was roomy, extremely clean, renovated and most importantly the best location. We visited Sea World, the Zoo, Lego Land and downtown and we were situated right off the I-5 with close access to all sites. Our family of four really enjoyed the swimming pool and the nearby amenities including Whole Foods, Trader Joes and the 24 hr grocery store Ralphs. The brand new Pack & Play playpen was very useful I would highly recommend your unit and plan to return on a regular basis. Take care & thanks. Errol Toronto, Canada
